The mosque is located at the entrance of Smolica village. The building was built in the early 19th century and it is a symbol of resistance. The mosque is of a square base, built mainly of river stones with bricks, while ashlar was used for construction of edges of the building, window elements and for the arch of the entrance door. Ashlar was also used for construction of wall ridges or roof underside.The roof construction was made of wood, covered with traditional tiles. The entrance is located to the north and it is articulated by a portal of ashlar ending in double arch. Windows are lined; on the ground floor windows are square with ashlar arches placed above, decorated with small stones in the form of arch. Two windows are located to the east and south, and only one to the west. On each side of the floor there is one round window.
