Mill of Mulliq Village

Mulliq Village

Mill of Mulliq Village
Mill of Mulliq village belongs to the category of the best preserved premises, which is built from wood material throughout its structure (foundation, floors, walls and roof construction). According to the villagers’ legends, this mill was built in the XIX century, although its current situation shows that it was subject to several interventions in order to maintain its function.
Since the mill performs the function of grinding the wheat through stone, as it was in its original form, the mill today is known for quality milling but with less capacity. Stone movement system is done with the flow of water, which moves under the floor structure of the mill.
The floor is of wooden construction, and there is a skeleton of wood pillars in the construction of the walls, which are then worn with planks, the roof is covered with flat roof. Water putting the mill in motion is of small intensity, especially during the summer season.
