Illyrian tumulus in Ujz village in the property of Ndoc Deda

In the justification of the decision for protection of this monument it is stated that the team from Provincial Institute for Protection of Monuments of Culture during the research in the area found an Illyrian tumulus with a diameter of 15 meters and height of around 1.7 meters, that makes one assume that we are dealing with a grave of an Illyrian prince.
It is under protection by law since 1967.

Construction ruins in village Raçë

In the justification of the decision for protection of this monument it is stated that in the hill of village Raçë, at the place called “the Catholic church”, in the left side of the stream Raçica, there are ruins of wall on an ancient roman fortification. The amount of archeological material (ceramic) found in site and everywhere around in the fields as well as the ruins of the walls in the nearby fields makes us assume that we are dealing with a important monument from our past. 

It is under protection by law since 1968. 

Even though there were no systemic archeological excavations, frequent accidental findings, nowadays lost, have attracted the attention of many researchers since XIX century. Only after World War II the excavations began in Rogova of Has and in Suka of Cërmjanit. Excavations continued in 2001 Rakovina’s Tumuli, in 2002 in Moglica Tumulus and in 2004 again in Rogova of Has. In 2001 the recognition of the terrain was carried out in the frame of the project “the Archeological map” of Drini i Bardhë valley.

In the decision for protection of this monument is stated that the book – codex of the holy Gospel presents a rare exemplar of the printed Gospel, which was published with text in both Italian and Albanian by Pjetër Bogdani, the archbishop of Skopje and administrator of Serbia, doctor of philosophical and theological sciences, in Venice in 1961. The book has a special importance for studying Albanian language and it can serve as a useful source for linguistic studies.

It is under protection by law since 1963.
